At the beginning of November, Allister and Sonya picked up a good portion of their shared life and moved it to Canada to go and rent skis to tourists. Allister being a good friend of mine, and also running a.m. photography, I offered to do some shots of them before they left, since it was unlikely that they would coincidentally meet someone in Canada who could take some photos for them on a budget!
We went down to Maslin Beach (for those who know Adelaide, I'm talking about the safe end of the beach) and took some casual shots walking along, and a few posed ones too.
It was a challenging shoot in some ways, because the light was pretty extreme, there was no open shade to work with, and there was lens-flare going all over the place. There was also a passing idiot who, in all seriousness, went out of his way to walk right through a shot we were taking! However, Al and Son are both pretty relaxed, so we just snapped away and came home with a good mix of portraits and candids.
